Metastorm Honors Customers in 2006 Enterprise Process Advantage® Awards
Leading Organizations from Around the World Recognized for Outstanding Achievements in Business Process Management
BALTIMORE, MD – October 18, 2006 – Metastorm, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM) software for modeling, automating, integrating, and improving both human and system-based processes, today announced the recipients of its 2006 Enterprise Process Advantage Awards, which were presented at the company’s Global BPM Forum and User Conference this week in Orlando, Florida. Metastorm was the first technology vendor to introduce awards for BPM success in 2003 and since then the company has held the awards ceremony annually to recognize its customers for outstanding and innovative use of BPM software with an emphasis on return on investment and strategic advantage from BPM initiatives.
The Enterprise Process Advantage® awards recognize Business Process Management solutions in three categories: Most Innovative Use of BPM Technology, Highest ROI and Strategic Advantage, and Mission Critical Use of BPM Technology. Nominations for the awards are accepted from Metastorm’s customer base, partners, and employees.
Metastorm would like to congratulate the following organizations as the recipients of this year’s awards:
- Most Innovative Use of Metastorm BPM Technology – the U.S. Social Security Administration – Office of the Inspector General. The SSA OIG has deployed Metastorm BPM as the basis for its National Investigative Case Management System. This system tracks detailed information and files related to fraud cases. The solution allows over 500 SSA personnel to efficiently and accurately manage and investigate fraud allegations. The key element of the implementation was its use of Metastorm Insight for reporting, analysis and advanced process intelligence. Its implementation of the Metastorm Process Designer, Process Engine, Case Management dashboard, and Insight modules put SSA on the path to achieving true “roundtrip BPM.”
- Most Strategic Advantage from Metastorm BPM – Blue Rhino. Blue Rhino first implemented Metastorm BPM for inventory management across its distribution network and then leveraged BPM to assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and support ongoing audits. Blue Rhino earned the award for most Strategic Advantage this year because of the new business opportunities that Metastorm BPM has enabled. By creating a platform for repeatable efficiency, visibility, and control, Blue Rhino was able to establish itself as a leader in its market and demonstrated extensive process performance that caught the attention of industry retail giant Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart chose Blue Rhino as the sole supplier to prototype a new paint gun cartridge replacement program. The pilot was so successful that Wal-Mart decided to move forward with the initiative. As a result, the company increased their standing with one of the most important retailers in the world, and benefited from a new business line and revenue stream for the company.
- Mission Critical Use of Metastorm BPM – Allen & Overy. Allen & Overy is a prominent global law firm with many critical processes in place. The “client matter” or case is the heart of any law firm and represents the most mission-critical asset of the firm. Allen & Overy has used Metastorm BPM to build a suite of 3 applications that control and facilitate the life-cycle of a client matter. These Metastorm BPM applications have become absolutely mission-critical to the firm. The BPM solution operates on a 24/7 basis and is available to all of the firm’s staff across Allen & Overy’s 26 locations worldwide – representing thousands of users. The processes are now so embedded in the firm that no new business – meaning no new clients or client matters – can be created, amended, or accepted unless it is done via the Metastorm BPM application.
