Bircham Dyson Bell Selects Metastorm BPM®

Metastorm BPM Helps UK-based Firm Address Critical Processes Including Client Matter Inception and Conflict Checking

LONDON, UK – February 13, 2007 – Metastorm, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM) software for organizational agility, innovation, and governance, and Tikit, a leading supplier of software and services to the legal industry and one of Metastorm’s strategic partners in the UK, today announced the implementation of Metastorm BPM software at Bircham Dyson Bell, one of the UK's fastest growing and progressive law firms. Bircham Dyson Bell joins the expanding legal customer bases of both organizations that rely on Metastorm BPM to improve and streamline core enterprise processes.

“We look forward to working with both Tikit and Metastorm in completing our deployment of Metastorm BPM and reaping the benefits we know it will bring to our critical legal processes,” stated John Le Huquet, IT Director, Bircham Dyson Bell. “We see an unlimited range of opportunities within our firm to automate processes with Metastorm, and we look forward to empowering our employees with the tools to increase productivity and efficiency."

Bircham Dyson Bell selected Metastorm BPM through the advice of Tikit, who provided consultancy in the evaluation phase of the project as well as providing ongoing support to the firm during development and implementation. Bircham Dyson Bell chose Metastorm for its BPM initiatives due to Tikit and Metastorm’s established and proven success in the legal industry, the flexibility to integrate Metastorm BPM into its existing infrastructure, and the ability to provide all enterprise users with a single user interface for advanced collaboration.

Metastorm BPM will serve as a process management platform for the firm beginning with the automation of the acquisition process for new clients known within the firm as Client Matter Inception – one of the most critical activities in a law firm and vital to its success from both a client acquisition and retention perspective and for risk management. The firm was managing this process manually with no visible way to track status and history or to maintain

The firm expects a rapid deployment of Metastorm BPM resulting in streamlined manual processes that create a more efficient environment to track client matters, improve quality control, and reduce risk by providing an audit trail to document due diligence.

“Metastorm’s ongoing success in the legal industry speaks volumes about our ability to truly help firms streamline and automate their most critical processes and better succeed with efficient process execution,” stated Robin Martin, VP of International Sales at Metastorm. “The complexity of legal processes makes law firms perfect candidates for our BPM technology. Metastorm BPM gives firms the ability to increase efficiency and create a detailed audit trail without affecting superior client service.”
