Global Leader in EA, BPA, and BPM Increases Investment in Product Innovation, Establishes Research Center of Excellence

BALTIMORE, MD – October 16, 2007 – Metastorm, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Analysis (BPA), and Enterprise Architecture (EA) software for aligning strategy with execution, today announced that it has doubled the size of its development team to increase its focus on innovative product development across its software portfolio. In addition, the company has established a Center of Excellence team focused on research and rapid prototyping of new concepts.

The 100% increase in development staff will allow Metastorm to achieve its objective of delivering the entire Metastorm Enterprise™ portfolio on a single meta-model with a shared services repository to enable its customers to align enterprise strategy with process analysis and execution, while in parallel developing new innovative capabilities within each product discipline to ensure Metastorm remains a leader in the EA, BPA, and BPM markets.

Metastorm’s new Research Center of Excellence is comprised of a Chief Research Officer and senior level product experts who will be engaged in planning and designing innovative software enhancements, working with analysts and customers to validate new ideas and prototypes, and serving as evangelists to help communicate Metastorm’s product vision and ensure that the full depth and breadth of product capabilities are adequately known to potential customers.
