Jim Simmons Joins Metastorm Board of Directors

BALTIMORE, MD – October 24, 2007 – Metastorm, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Analysis (BPA), and Enterprise Architecture (EA) software for aligning strategy with execution, today announced the addition of Jim Simmons to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Simmons is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of SunGard Availability Services, a business dedicated to keeping the world’s largest companies up and running during major disasters and international crises. In his role at SunGard, Mr. Simmons oversaw all aspects of operations, sales and long-term strategic planning. He led the company’s transformation into an international organization serving more than 10,000 clients in 14 countries, growing revenues from $250M to $1.3B in six years. Most notably, he helped structure the transaction that made SunGard the single largest private equity buyout in the technology arena. Mr. Simmons began his career with NCR and has over 25 years in the technology industry.
