Leading Colorado-based Accounting Firm Deploys Metastorm for Enterprise Process Automation
EKS&H Successfully Deploys Metastorm BPM®
BALTIMORE, MD – February 13, 2008 – Metastorm, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Analysis (BPA), and Enterprise Architecture (EA) software for aligning strategy with execution, today announced its software has been successfully deployed at Ehrhardt Keefe Steiner & Hottman (EKS&H) PC, the largest Colorado-based accounting and business advisory firm. Metastorm BPM is being used as the foundation to aid in creating streamlined, automated processes across the organization to help with the day-to-day activities of running a fast-paced accounting practice.

Like many large accounting firms, EKS&H is extremely process driven. In order to support its entire organization, the firm wanted to streamline and automate a number of critical processes that touch many areas of its business. EKS&H wanted to deploy an enterprise level solution rather than a technology geared just for the accounting vertical. Metastorm BPM was selected for its flexibility, quickest time to delivery, and integration capabilities.
Using Metastorm BPM, EKS&H has automated and streamlined a quality control process that tracks and manages the work being performed by the firm’s central processing group before a tax return is filed. Also tying into this process, the firm has automated the procedures for tracking all e-file tax returns with the IRS – a critical automation component for the firm, which expects to electronically file over 4000 tax returns in the next few months. Additional automation includes an audit and tax close process that helps the firm comply with SEC requirements.
