City of Richmond Successfully Deploys Metastorm BPM® for e-Government and Citizen Service Initiatives

BALTIMORE, MD – March 10, 2008 – Metastorm, a leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Analysis (BPA), and Enterprise Architecture (EA) software for aligning strategy with execution, today announced that its software has been successfully deployed by the City of Richmond, an economically progressive city and Virginia’s capital, as the foundation to automate its citywide processes.

To facilitate e-government activities, the City embarked on a citywide effort designed to bring virtually all City information and services to the Web in order to enhance customer service and achieve greater operational efficiencies. To achieve success in this initiative, the City selected Metastorm BPM to automate the many processes critical to running the City and at the same time transform its operations into an automated environment.

In addition to automating a number of key processes, the City has leveraged Metastorm BPM to provide the Mayor and the top City Administrator with critical insight into projects and performance against key city objectives.
