A Deployment model graphically depicts communications among equipment objects. Equipment may contain component instances. This indicates that the component runs on the equipment. To show which components may reside on an equipment object, create a placement link from the component to the equipment object or graphically position the component within the equipment object. Components are connected to other components by dependency links or possibly through interfaces. This indicates that one component uses the services of another component.
