120 MIM for CICS Fundamentals

Who should attend:
Future developers and architects of web services access to CICS using Metastorm Integration Manager(MIM) for CICS
Prerequisites:
This advanced-level class is for students who will be responsible for working in a MIM for CICS environment to support integration with CICS programs and data via web services. You should possess some familiarity with z/OS, TSO/ISPF (or equivalent), networking, programming and computer fundamentals as well as have a working knowledge of IBM WebSphere® MQ or have completed our Metastorm's WebSphere MQ class. In addition you should be reasonably familiar with:
- WebSphere MQ configuration
- Concepts of WebSphere MQ distributed messaging
- WebSphere MQ architectural concepts
- Programming with a language such as C, C++, C#, Java, Perl, Ruby or JavaScript
Class Objectives:
After completion of this five-day course, you will be able to apply a basic working knowledge of MIM for CICS for creating web services interfaces to a variety of CICS programs and data sources including:
- COMMAREA programs
- Temporary Storage Queues
- WebSphere MQ enabled programs
- Integration with WebSphere MQ
- LU2 (3270) programs
- VSAM files
- DB2 Tables
- External Web Services
